After writing about the different styles of capes that are on trend this season, I thought it would be a good idea to put together some boots for this fall because outwear is key, obviously. And who doesn’t want an excuse to look at boots? Like come on, boots are marvellous.
Let’s get on with it though. First up are the lace-up beauties that are quite the transitional piece because they won’t necessarily keep you warm (especially the peep-toe ones) but they’re definitely swoon-worthy. There’s nothing that will make your outfit chicer, than throwing on some lace-up stillettos, even with your boyfriend jeans. As always, they range from affordable to one-can-dream in price so there’s something for everyone. My personal favourites are the olive Saint Laurent ones but my bank would think some crazy (but stylish) person stole my bank card and went on a shopping spree so they sadly won’t make my closet.
Another boot trend which is huge right now is the chunky heel. I honestly think that it’s so big because they’re comfortable and more functional than sky-scraper-high stilettos to go out and about. The prices start at £30, up to £755 so there’s something for everyone! I love the Alexander Wang ones because they’re chic, simple but unique at the same time.
Obviously, the other twelve pairs of boots are also ankle boots but I thought picking out some separate ankle boots was a good enough excuse to spend another hour browsing through shoes. These beauties are of different styles, colours and heel types but they all have one thing in common – they’re ankle high. I seriously can’t pick which ones I like best, the maroon Derek Lam ones are to die for but so are the Charlotte Olympia (okay, anything by Charlotte Olympia is genius tbh). I love them all so much tbh, I can think of 154789763 million outfits to go with each pair and they’re all just beautiful.
Colour-blocking has been in and out of fashion for seasons and this fall/winter, it’s time to add the colour-block touch to your boots as well. They’re all absolutely fabulous, my favourites are the first ones (and at only £15, there a must-have) and the Prada ones are lovely as well.
I have been looking for thigh high boots all my life and you can never have too many pairs of them, they always come back into fashion and they will definitely keep you warm. You can also pretty much wear them with anything as well and it will make any outfit a step more interesting. I’ve got two pairs of thigh high boots which are both black and suede because I always find it really hard to find boots which aren’t too loose around my legs but I’m always on the lookout for more, ha ha. Those Burberry ones are so incredible I want to cry, seriously.
Hope you enjoyed this post and what style of boots are you going for this season? High or low? Let me know in the comments!
